'I did not come into public life for a label' - Former Wellingborough mayor leaves party to serve as independent town councillor

Cllr Raj Mishra, who served as Wellingborough’s mayor during the 2025-26 electoral year, has decided to leave the Conservative Party but will continue as an independent councillor.
